Professional family court support. This page explains how Price Family Law provides its services, what you can expect when working with us and the important information you should understand before instructing us. By using this website or instructing Price Family Law, you acknowledge and accept the information set out below.

Who we are

Price Family Law provides professional family court support for people representing themselves in family court proceedings.

We help clients understand the court process, develop clear strategies and prepare their cases with confidence through transparent fixed-fee services.

Our aim is to bridge the gap between navigating family court alone and instructing a traditional solicitor, providing professional support that is practical, accessible and tailored to your individual circumstances.

How we work

Every client begins with a free 20-minute consultation.

Following the consultation you will receive a written summary of our discussion, clear recommendations and next steps, a personalised fixed-fee quotation where appropriate, and information about how Price Family Law can support your case.

No work begins until the scope of work and fixed fee have been agreed.

Fixed fees

Transparency is one of our core values. Every piece of work is quoted as a fixed fee before work begins, so you always know what work is included, what it will cost and what happens next.

We do not charge by the hour. If additional work becomes necessary, it will always be discussed and agreed before any further fees are incurred.

Our services

Depending upon your individual circumstances, our services may include strategic case reviews, litigation strategy, court applications, witness statements, position statements, court bundles, evidence planning, hearing preparation and McKenzie Friend support where appropriate and permitted by the court.

Every instruction is tailored to the individual client and the agreed scope of work.

Your responsibilities

Successful family court proceedings are built on preparation and communication. To help us support you effectively, we ask that you provide complete and accurate information, send requested documents promptly, keep us updated about developments in your case, carefully review all draft documents before they are filed, and remain responsible for complying with court directions and deadlines.

Although we assist in preparing documentation, you remain responsible for the documents submitted to the court and for the conduct of your own case.

Professional boundaries

Price Family Law provides professional family court support. We are not instructed as solicitors and do not undertake reserved legal activities.

We do not conduct litigation on your behalf, sign court documents for clients, or guarantee the outcome of court proceedings.

Our role is to provide strategy, guidance and practical support, helping you present your own case with confidence. If we believe your case would benefit from additional specialist advice or legal representation, we will discuss this with you openly.

Communication

Our usual office hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm. We aim to respond promptly to enquiries and prioritise matters involving court deadlines wherever reasonably possible.

To help us work efficiently, we ask clients to send related documents together, clearly identify what documents relate to, forward court correspondence as soon as it is received, and avoid sending the same message across multiple communication platforms.

Confidentiality & privacy

We understand that family matters are deeply personal. All information provided to Price Family Law is treated confidentially and handled in accordance with UK data protection legislation.

Further information about how we collect, store and process personal information can be found in our Privacy Policy.

Limitation of service

We exercise reasonable care and skill in providing our services. However, we cannot accept responsibility for decisions made by the court, the conduct of other parties, inaccurate or incomplete information provided by clients, or delays caused by the court or third parties.

No adviser can guarantee the outcome of family court proceedings.

Complaints

We are committed to providing a professional, respectful and transparent service.

If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of our service, please contact us in writing. We will acknowledge your complaint promptly, investigate the issues raised and provide a written response as soon as reasonably practicable.
